![]() The issue with doing that is now every campaign becomes identical. Very few games can accurately recreate history due to the sheer number of scripted scenarios they'd have to force out. If you started a RTS game depicting WWII ten years before it happened, Germany very easily could be long wiped out by that point. Just imagine World War 2 total war where Germany is destroyed by Poland on turn 10. It is impossible to have real historically experience in this game with Wu, Wei and Shu-Han as Three Kingdoms at the end of the game. I am tired of these unhistorically nonsense after turn 1. This is reason why this game needs something like option to choice historical AI. Yuan Shao seems to become the giant power instead of Cao caoĪs for Mandate of Heaven what it really needs is some events like Cao Cao, Liu chong and Lu Zhi charging into yellow turban lands which if successfully happens results in zhang jiao dying of sickness. It’s a shame the succession issue with yuan tan and shang never happens. 3K is far truer to the source material.ĭong zhuo usually gets killed by lu bu too as well as Liu chong assassinates (authough in my latest he’s actually still alive in my Nanman campaign) In Shogun 2 the Tokugawa always instantly get destroyed and the Oda often did too. I'm actually very impressed by how accurate it is to the narrative in the scale of things. ![]() In the other scenarios Cao Cao, Liu Bei abd Sun Ce very rarely get destroyee unless they are up againsr the player and Liu Bei will even confederedate Liu Biao every campsign. Imagine if you bought tje DLC and the Yellow Turnans were wiped out in 10 turns. The whole point of the scenario is to see what would happen if the Yellow Turbans didn't lose so hard. The only scenario which goes in a completely ahistorical direction is MoH, which is why I've never liked that scenario in any RoTK game. They want 3K to be historical so they give it a set of events that make it seem historical, but when Beigong Boyu is destroying Dong Zhou does it really make sense for Dong Zhou to usurp the Han? Does it make sense for all that shenigans with luoyang and killing the eunuchs to take place when the yellow turbans have 30 territories and all the han guys are dead? It's like they want there to be Gods in Troy who destroy cities when they're mad, but they also hate the idea of greeks having cavalry and make all the centaurs men on horseback. Now if Poland wins every now and then it's nbd, but 100% of the time? gtfoĬA has the habit of trying to blend fantasy with historical. The yellow turbans were wiped out in like 6 months if I'm not mistaken, they're not supposed to be a mongolian invasion of all of Han china. But if Poland is destroying germany 100% of the time after you give it 4-5 goes, you can't just chalk it up to "sandbox". ![]() Ikr, like we understand the "sandbox" argument it's not rocket science. How haven't they just tweaked down the yellow turbans so that maybe idk all the main key players like yuan shao liu bei and cao cao don't all get instantly deleted? This is absurd I want my money back Like how is this this broken still? I have spent hours playing this just restarting several times and the Han factions always get dumpstered. ![]() All the key players are wiped out, yellow turbans have 3 factions with 27 territories (weird ikr) and we won't win since I can't afford anything other than a militia army that takes 10 turns to cross the map. I show up turn 27 after I spent 10 turns traveling and post my full stack next to liu biao at Henei thinking I'll defend him and make sure he doesn't get killed, only to have him abandon me during the end turn phase and have my full stack wiped out. By turn 27 playing as Sun Jian I already see Liu Zhi killed, Liu Bei killed, Cao Cao killed, kong rong killed, and Dong Zhou chased away into zhang yan's territories by the absolutely massive beigong boyu. And the MOH dlc I bought a year ago is still broken. I come back after being away for months to buy the nanaman dlc. I'm gonna be honest this is ****ing insane. ![]() 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai. ![]()
